OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Stepping beyond academic research
Are you curious about how other early career researchers have transitioned? Come for insight into what the research careers team does to learn about options beyond academia . Top tips will include how to make the most of what Oxford offers with respect to your career development. You will hear about opportunities to explore work sectors or roles that interest you, and to expand your professional network for further insight into entry points.
This session will be led by members of the Oxford research staff/DPhil team running www.research-careers.org and the Careers Adviser who supports this initiative.
The team have sourced, edited and published 78 profiles to date, from Oxford and across the globe, giving insight into what helped them transition effectively. Through such activities, this team are actively developing their skills in leadership, teamwork and communication, while growing their professional networks.
This is a virtual event hosted on Microsoft Teams.
