Mapping malaria for programmatic support

Until recent years, the Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) has focused on generating global and large-scale regional mapped outputs of malaria prevalence and incidence. The development of relationships with partner institutions and national malaria control programs has unlocked new data sources that have presented methodological challenges and opportunities to generate fine scale maps to inform decision making in an initial set of countries. Examples of the data and methods used, the outputs generated, and their application by country programs will be shared.
