Ideas Into Action: 10 years of ground-breaking research

“We must not forget the bigger picture – that we need to safeguard a future for the generations that follow us” – Dr James Martin, Founder of the Oxford Martin School

The Oxford Martin School is a world-leading centre of pioneering research that addresses the global challenges of the 21st Century. Established in 2005 though the vision and generosity of Dr James Martin, the School exists to fund innovative, unique, and inter-disciplinary research that could dramatically improve the wellbeing of this and future generations. Over its first 10 years, the Oxford Martin School has made a practical and lasting impact through new ideas, concepts and technologies, working with a wide range of stakeholders to translate these into action. This term’s seminar series reflects back on some of the most significant research from the School’s first decade, and looks towards the future to ask, “What’s next?”
