 13:00 – 14:00\nVenue: Richard Doll Building Lecture Theatre\n\nAbstract:
\nThe Population Health Research Network (PHRN) is Australia’s national
data linkage infrastructure\, providing secure\, ethical access to linked
administrative data to support high-quality health and medical research. T
his presentation will introduce the PHRN and outline the infrastructure an
d services available to researchers. It will then describe the national co
nsultation process undertaken with clinical trialists to identify opportun
ities and barriers to the use of linked administrative data in trials. Fin
dings from this consultation informed the development of Trial Link\, a ne
w PHRN program designed to assist and support researchers. Trial Link enco
mpasses a suite of activities\, including tailored guidance materials\, ad
visory services\, governance streamlining\, and development of new data pr
oducts. Together\, these initiatives aim to enable trialists to efficientl
y and responsibly integrate linked data to supplement and complement tradi
