  and "An Octoroon\," which reimagines a 19th-century melodrama to explore 
 issues of race and cultural appropriation.\nKenneth Lonergan\nKenneth Lone
 rgan is a distinguished playwright\, screenwriter\, and director. His play
 s such as "This Is Our Youth" and "The Waverly Gallery" explore the comple
 xities of human relationships. Lonergan is also well-known for his work in
  film\, having written and directed "Manchester by the Sea\," which earned
