DESCRIPTION:Join us for a panel discussion with experts from across health
 care and policy landscapes to explore how ethnicity is currently approache
 d in genomic medicine and how it might be reimagined for the future.  \nWi
 thin NHS England’s Genomic Medicine Service\, patient identity informati
 on is currently documented using ‘ethnicity’ categories\, which largel
 y reflect geopolitical classifications. These categories often do not capt
 ure the sociocultural\, historical\, and biological dimensions of one’s 
 identity that may be relevant to medical investigations.  \nThe panel will
  reflect and respond to a set of co-created\, forward-looking questions de
 veloped during a participatory workshop held earlier in the day with patie
 nt support groups and representatives.   \nThis is an in-person event\, pl
 ease only sign up if you can attend the event at St Anne’s College. The 
 panel discussion will be followed by a drinks reception until 18:30.  \nIf
