DESCRIPTION:Andrea Cadelo graduated with a degree in Mass Communication (m
 ajor) and Philosophy (minor) from the Universidad Javeriana (Colombia). Sh
 e received her MA in Modern History at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid
 \, Spain\, and completed her PhD in History at the University of Warwick. 
 Besides her teaching experience in Colombia\, she has taught at Warwick an
 d King’s College London\, where she currently is Research Fellow in the 
 Department of Spanish\, Portuguese and Latin American Studies. Her researc
 h addresses conceptions of race in the Enlightenment\, examining its const
 ruction in philosophy and natural history. It also deals with the so-calle
 d ‘Dispute of the New World’ and with Colombian intellectual history\,
  specifically during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. \nSpeak
