 terature and Director of Learning and Teaching in The School of Literature
 s\, Languages\, and Cultures at The University of Edinburgh. His monograph
 s are The Modernist Art of Queer Survival and Queer Disappearance in Moder
 n and Contemporary Fiction\, both from Oxford University Press.\n\nIn this
  two-day lecture series\, Benjamin will share insights from the research f
 or his new book project that revisits HIV/AIDS fiction from the 1980s and 
 1990s and examines both its (underappreciated) formal complexity and its c
 o-emergence with the field of queer theory. Authors to be studied include 
 Andrew Holleran\, Dale Peck\, Sarah Schulman\, John Weir\, and Patricia Po
