 low.\n\nHebrew culture\, like any national culture\, is a complex and rich
  system. The establishment of the State of Israel frames part of Hebrew cu
 lture within an additional context – the Israeli context – which is si
 multaneously broader and narrower than the Hebrew context. This panel expl
 ores less familiar aspects in the transformation of Hebrew culture into Is
 raeli culture. It will focus on two very different aspects of Israeli cult
 ure – Israeli dance and the ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) community. These two
  topics will be situated within the broader context of Israeli culture and
