DESCRIPTION:In 1954 the first two volumes of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord
  of the Rings were published (The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Tower
 s). To celebrate this event\, and following on from last year’s Tolkien 
 seminars\, Exeter College – Tolkien’s undergraduate college – is pro
 ud to host a series of free lunchtime talks organised by the Faculty of En
 glish on The Lord of the Rings. Open to the public these talks are aimed a
 t going deeper in some key aspects of the novel\, Tolkien as a writer\, an
 d some of the spin-offs it has generated.\n\nPlease note that all seminars
