DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to host Professor Dan Barouch\, who will be pre
 senting his talk\, “Natural and Vaccine-Induced Immunity to COVID-19 in 
 Rhesus Macaques.” Professor Dan Barouch is the director of the Center fo
 r Virology and Vaccine Research at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Cente
 r and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. His work is primari
 ly focused on developing vaccines against infectious\, oncologic\, and deg
 enerative diseases. His research cohort is a key member of the Bill & Meli
 nda Gates Foundation Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD)\, the
  NIH Center for HIV/AIDS Vaccine Immunology and Immunogen Design (CHAVI-ID
 )\, and the Ragon Institute of MGH\, MIT\, and Harvard. Recently\, Barouch
 's lab developed a COVID-19 vaccine in collaboration with Janssen Pharmace
 utical Cos.\, the pharmaceutical branch of Johnson & Johnson. On March 30t
 h\, the U.S. government and Johnson & Johnson announced that they will beg
 in clinical trials in the fall as part of a joint $1 billion collaboration
