DESCRIPTION:Like many spheres of society in the UK today\, the Christian C
hurch represents a kaleidoscope of views within its streams and various tr
aditions. Whilst there are far more Christians in the world today from a g
lobal majority heritage\, many White people in England evoke “Christiani
ty” as a foundational impetus behind far-right nationalism. In this pres
entation\, Tim Judson will share some personal stories and experiences tha
t will hopefully be generative for reflecting together on the connections
that can be made to disentangle far-right nationalism from the Christianit
y it co-opts to serve its ideological moorings.\n\nRevd Dr Tim Judson is R
esearch Fellow at Las Casas Institute for Social Justice\, Blackfriars Hal
l\, Oxford. He is a Baptist Minister and pastor at Broadway Baptist Church

colonial Pilgrimage (SCM\, 2025)\; Dark Weeping and Light Sleeping: Whiten
ess as a Doctrine of De-Formation (Whitley\, 2024)\; and Awake in Gethsema
ne: Bonhoeffer and the Witness of Christian Lament (Baylor University Pres
s\, 2023). He is also co-editor of Bonhoeffer and the Voice of the Other:
