DESCRIPTION:Photolanguage (Nigel Green & Robin Wilson)\n\nBrutalist Imagin
aries brings together architectural photography of Oxford and Paris\, reco
rding the legacy of brutalist architecture in both cities\, from the 1960s
to the 1980s. From research developed over a decade\, it reveals correspo
ndences in architectural style and philosophy\, in the emergence of radica
lly new expressions of spatial design within and beyond the historic citie
 s. It combines different modes of photography and experimental combination
s of image and text\, re-presenting Oxford and Paris as utopic spaces of a
rchitectural difference.\n\nFounded in 1998\, Photolanguage (Nigel Green &
Robin Wilson) explores the legacies of modernism across urban and landsca
pe sites through experimental arts-based methods. They have exhibited in m
ajor venues in the UK and mainland Europe including the Institut Français
\, South Kensington\, the Museum of Garden History\, Lambeth and the Barbi
can Centre. They are authors of the book Brutalist Paris (Blue Crow Media\
 , 2023).
