DESCRIPTION:The UK EQUATOR Centre’s Publication School is designed for e
 arly-career researchers and students. It aims to give you a smooth writing
  process that results in a published article that is fit for purpose.\n\nY
 ou will experience four afternoons of learning led by methodological and w
 riting experts from the UK EQUATOR Centre and the Centre for Statistics in
  Medicine. Through group work\, discussion\, and practical exercises\, we 
 cover everything you need to know to plan\, write\, and publish your healt
 h-related research study.\n\nContent:\n\nPlanning your message and audienc
 e\nNegotiating authorship\nChoosing a journal and avoiding predators\nGood
  writing style and habits\nWhat to write where: recipes for a successful i
 ntroduction\, methods\, results\, and discussion\nUsing reporting guidelin
 es\nRevising your work for simplicity\, clarity and completeness\nSummaris
 ing your article in an effective title and abstract\nSubmission and dealin
 g with peer review\nDisseminating your article after publication\n\nThe co
 urse will be held live over Zoom. Participants will need to have Zoom down
 loaded\, rather than using the browser version\, as we will be using regis
 trations. We will teach using shared slides\, webcam\, and audio. We’re 
 excited to maintain the highly interactive nature of Publication School in
  this online format\, with all-group discussion and small-group exercises 
 and discussion. Participants will be welcome to use text chat\, mic\, and/
 or webcam in the main room\, but will need at least a mic for small-group 
 work in breakout rooms.\nSessions will run 12:30-17:00 GMT\, with regular 
 comfort breaks.\n\nWe will not record the sessions\, but participants will
  receive the electronic course workbook with all notes and exercises. \n\n
 We are offering 5 free places to CR-UK funded applicants.\n\nPlaces are li
