DESCRIPTION:Mitochondria undergo stress induced hyperfusion to adapt their
metabolic function and safeguard cellular survival during starvation. \nT
he mechanisms that regulate the underlying cell-biological program are how
ever largely unknown. \nIn this talk I am going to discuss how lipid trans
fer at contact sites between mitochondria and lipid droplets controls meta
bolic remodelling and promotes cell survival. \nSpecifically I will expla
in how the lipid transfer protein mitoguardin 2 couples these fundamental
aspects of cell physiology. \nSpeakers:\nAssociate Professor Robin Klemm (
 DPAG\, University of Oxford)
