DESCRIPTION:This Weeks Focus: Lines in the Sand and Among the Orange Grove
 s. Territorial fragmentation and the politics of land across 1916\, 1948\,
  and 1967.\n\nThis reading group examines the political\, geographic\, eco
 nomic\, cultural\, and linguistic fragmentations that have shaped Palestin
 ian life over the past century\, from the West Bank\, Gaza\, and the ’48
  territories to the multiple Palestinian diasporas. By engaging with schol
 arship across history\, political theory\, and cultural studies\, this rea
 ding group interrogates how these divisions have been produced\, instituti
 onalised\, and normalised\, and how they continue to shape Palestinian bel
 ongings\, identities\, and futures. Our aim is to consider both the unity 
 that persists within fragmentation and the fragmentation that structures t
 he very notion of Palestine.\n\nCentral Question: How are ideas of Palesti
 ne and Palestinian collective identity shaped\, challenged\, and rearticul
 ated under conditions of fragmentation?\n\nStructure: The group will conve
 ne biweekly throughout Hilary and Trinity Terms 2026\, with each session l
 asting two hours
