DESCRIPTION:Ethics in Archaeological Practice focuses on the ethics of arc
haeological work in a European context.\n\nThis book covers all aspects of
the archaeological profession\, including archaeological advisors employe
d by state\, national\, or regional heritage agencies\, commercial archaeo
logists\, and academics. It considers all archaeologists as professionals
and situates ethical practice at the heart of what it means to be a profes
sional archaeologist. It functions as a practical handbook\, organised aro
und the main areas of activity that archaeologists undertake\, allowing th
e book to be used as a reference work when needed.\n\nGerry wrote the CIfA
Professional Practice Guide for professional ethics. Subsequently\, Paul
and Gerry organised and led professional workshops on ethics at a number o
f CIfA conferences. Gerry has spoken on the subject at a number of annual
conferences of the European Association of Archaeologists. Ethics in Archa
eological Practice will appeal to professional archaeologists\, academics

s been structured for use as a university textbook.\n\nAbout the Authors a
