DESCRIPTION:Menopause refers to the final menstrual period. This happens w
 hen the ovaries stop releasing eggs and levels of hormones (oestrogen\, pr
 ogesterone and testosterone) fall. Menopause is a natural process\, but ca
 n also occur as a result of surgery to remove the ovaries\, medical treatm
 ent\, infection\, autoimmune conditions and genetic causes. The vast major
 ity of people affected by menopause identify as women. However\, menopause
  also happens to people of differing genders who were assigned female at b
 irth\, including transmasculine\, intersex and non-binary people.\nThe ave
 rage age of menopause in the UK is 51 years of age. Menopause between the 
 ages of 40 and 45 is called early menopause\, and is estimated to affect a
 pproximately 12% of women in the UK.\nIn this seminar I will explore lifes
 tyle tips for healthy menopause including nutrition\, exercise\, sleep\, a
 nd stress reduction. I will also discuss medical interventions including H
 ormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and alternative therapies.\nSpeakers:\nAs
