DESCRIPTION:Sir Tim Hitchens is President of Wolfson College\, Oxford. He 
 is also a Commonwealth War Graves Commissioner and Chairman of the Daiwa A
 nglo-Japanese Foundation. Before coming to the University of Oxford\, Sir 
 Hitchens was the Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Summit Unit. He also 
 served as the Director-General\, Economic and Consular at the Foreign and 
 Commonwealth Office. Sir Hitchens is a graduate of the University of Cambr
 idge and has extensive experience in his more than thirty years as a diplo
 mat\, which have taken him to parts of the world as diverse as Pakistan\, 
 Afghanistan\, and France. He has spent three years as Foreign and Commonwe
 alth Office director for Africa. Most recently\, between 2012 and 2016\, S
 ir Hitchens was the British Ambassador in Japan. He will be discussing sec
