A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Over the last decade Factum Arte has become a world leader in the digital capture and three-dimensional reproduction of historical maps, including the Gough map, the Hereford ‘Mappa Mundi’, and the Vatican’t ‘Sala Bologna’. Their work is driven by a fascination with recording surface data, and has broken new ground in cartographic restoration and research. In this talk, Factum’s founder, Adam Lowe, and his long-time collaborator, Jerry Brotton, will discuss some of the methods used, and showcase future cartographic projects.
