Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Once Oxford Events launches, you will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Over the past two years, and since the very early days of the pandemic, Ruth has worked in partnership with parents and carers living on a low-income, with colleagues at the University of York and Birmingham, and with Child Poverty Action Group to document experiences of poverty during Covid-19. The Covid Realities research programme has created imaginative forms of online participatory research, creating spaces for parents to both detail their everyday realities, and develop recommendations for what needs to change and why. In this talk, Ruth will reflect on the methodological approach taken in this participatory work, pulling out ‘ethical speedbumps’ encountered along the way as well as the possibilities it has generated.
