On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Summary
This interdisciplinary workshop introduces core principles of research data management, including effective planning, organisation, and maintenance of data to support seamless analysis and writing throughout the research lifecycle. It will also address common challenges that may affect data quality, analysis, or research outcomes, and present practical strategies for structuring and safeguarding data—ensuring both data integrity and participant confidentiality—to support ethical research and smooth progression through the stages of data collection, analysis, and writing.

1) Understand the core principles of research data management, including effective planning, organisation, and maintenance of data across the research lifecycle. 2) Recognise appropriate strategies to safeguard data privacy and integrity, supporting ethical and secure research practice. 3) Reflect on common obstacles and limitations in managing research data, and consider practical approaches to address, prevent, or mitigate them.
