On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.
If you have any questions, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The event will be led by Professor Abigail Williams, Professor of Eighteenth-Century Studies, Associate Head of Research for the Humanities Division, St Peter’s College, University of Oxford.
The book being discussed at the event is ‘Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men’ by Caroline Criado Perez. We will have a few copies of the book available to borrow, but if you’d like to buy your own book second hand copies are available to purchase from around £5.
We are hoping to bring like-minded people to engage with the IDEA community, discuss the chapter and network. We are also giving away one free drink, so do come along!
Spaces are limited to 20 spots due to space considerations
