OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
BioNetGen Workshop: A tool to generate and simulate biochemical networks
Generating and simulating biological networks (e.g. signalling networks) is often a tedious and difficult process. Biological Network Generator (BioNetGen) is the solution to this problem as it offers a way for the user to specify a few simple rules from which the program infers the large reaction network.
Professor Faeder will provide a half-day workshop which will cover an introduction to the tool followed by a hands on session using the program, which is now the standard method.
No prior mathematical experience necessary and participants are encouraged to bring their own problems. See attached flyer for details.
