OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Florilegium. Bring in your own queer medievalisms to discuss!
Week 8: Florilegium. Bring in your own queer medievalisms to discuss! W. H. Auden! Leslie Feinberg! BBC Merlin! Lil Nas X’s ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)!’ Endless possibilities!
This informal reading group will explore queer and trans themes in medieval texts—as well as the modern texts that draw inspiration from them. In Michaelmas, we’ll be thinking about how modern writers and artists have reimagined medieval queerness and transness, putting them in dialogue with some of the texts we explored in 2022-2023.
All extremely welcome! To join the mailing list and get texts in advance, or if you have any questions, email rowan.wilson@univ.ox.ac.uk
