OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Prejudice Justification and Stigma associated to PRR parties
With this experiment, I aim to understand the link between prejudice in Populist Radical Right Parties’ (PRRP) discourse and the stigma associated to these parties. I test whether justifying prejudice by the means of a femonationalist or a similar discourse reduces the prejudice associated with PRRP.
Indeed, findings have shown that justifying prejudice influences the way people consider the prejudiced opinion, with people agreeing more with it once it’s justified. The underlying rationale is that they no longer consider this attitude as prejudiced. Parallel to that, stigma has been shown to constitute an important obstacle to PRRP vote. My hypothesis is that PRRP (can) reduce the stigma that is associated to them by using discourse in which they justify their anti-immigration policies and positions. I thus want to test the effect of different justifications of anti-immigration positions on the stigma associated to the German PRRP, “Alternative für Deutschland” (AfD).
