Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. It is with great pleasure that we are holding the 2025 Oxford University Latin American Centre Alumni London Networking Drinks, held in partnership with the Canning Club.
The Canning Club, a private members club for ladies and gentlemen with a connection to or a special interest in Latin America or the Iberian Peninsula, has a legacy charitable trust called the Argentine Club Educational Trust (ACET), which is proud to provide a scholarship to support a postgraduate student undertaking either an MSC or MPhil in Latin American Studies at Oxford University’s Latin America Centre (LAC) each year.
The scholarship is named after William de Segundo, one of the Canning Club’s longest-serving Chairmen. William’s achievements included modernising and ensuring the long-term sustainability of both the Canning Club and the charitable trust.
