OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Film Night: 9 to 5 (1980)
Special collaboration with Magdalen Film Society (@mfs_oxford)
In this 1980’s office satire, three co-workers (played by Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dolly Parton) get revenge on their sexist and tyrannical boss (Dabney Coleman). Violet Newstead, Judy Burnley, and Doralee Rhodes each suffer from workplace sexism: Violet is passed over for a promotion because she is a woman, Judy struggles to get management to listen to her request to receive equal pay, and Doralee suffers the boss’ casual and persistent sexual harassment. When the boss seems to have been poisoned (accidentally), the three women band together to put things to rights and transform the office into a utopia of gender equality.
Join us for a panel discussion after the movie as we debate 9 to 5’s place as a rallying socialist feminist piece and its message about the transformative power of sisterhood.
