A Wokshop on Bibliotherapy
You are invited to join us for a workshop on bibliotherapy, introducing participants to an experimental study
being conducted at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities (TORCH) by Rocío Riestra-Camacho, a
Spanish PhD student, and Dr Emily Troscianko, on the potential therapeutic effects of reading young adult
fiction. This is a chance to reflect on how to design and run bibliotherapy experiments, to learn about our
preliminary results, and to contribute to next steps for data analysis and future research. We’d love to involve
participants with a range of academic and/or personal interests in the therapeutic potential of fiction reading.
