OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The Naked Planner
The Naked Planner
An introduction to the shadowy world of land use planning presented by Daniel Scharf, who has had over forty years experience working in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Come along if you are interested in the environment, politics, cities, sustainable development or simply the world around you!
The purpose of the session will be to demystify the planning process and encourage people to become more active and effective in their engagement with the planning system (both locally and nationally). There will be every opportunity to ask Daniel about all aspects of the planning system while he discusses the principle of ‘sustainable development’ and how this is and should be applied in plan-making and decision-taking.
