Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.

Professor Thomas G. Weiss is the Presidential Professor of Political Science at the City University of New York, and was the Director Emeritus of the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies from 1998 to 2014. He holds leadership and professional positions in academic and prominent nongovernmental organisations. He has authored ten books, coauthored and edited more than forty books, and published more than 250 articles and book chapters. Some of his recent books include Rethinking Global Governance (2019), Would the World Be Better Without the UN? (2018) and Humanitarianism, War, and Politics: Solferino to Syria and Beyond (2018).
Born in 1946, he completed his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, followed by his Master of Arts and DPhil from Princeton University. Prof Weiss specialises in international relations, global governance, the United Nations and on humanitarian intervention. His past work focuses on international organisations, conflict management, humanitarian action, the responsibility to protect doctrine, North-South relations, and U.S. foreign policy.
