OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
From Thesis to Publication: Navigating the Academic Publishing Journey
Struggling to bring your MSc thesis or DPhil chapter to publication? Do you have a manuscript idea that is gathering dust on a shelf? The publication process can often feel like a bit of an enigma.
Join us for a Masterclass moderated by Michael Clark with presentation from: Sugandha Srivastav and Diogo Verissimo. The masterclass will offer a look behind the scenes of the publication process, guided by ECRs and SCRs who have successfully navigated it previously. We will be discussing a variety of topics like addressing reviewer comments, managing co-author relationships, project management, publication ethics, and timelines.
This event is open to all, and we especially encourage early career researchers to attend and contribute. We look forward to seeing you there!
