DPhil Bootcamp: Building healthy, productive habits
The DPhil Bootcamp is an interactive, full-day workshop designed to support first year doctoral students in the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division as they begin their research journey at Oxford.
Starting a DPhil can feel both exciting and uncertain. This interactive Bootcamp, led by Dr Emma Williams, offers space to step back, connect with other students, and explore practical ways to work well, stay well and make the most of your time at Oxford.
Through discussion, reflection and light-touch activities, participants will;
Build healthy, sustainable work habits that support creativity and wellbeing
Manage yourself and your project for long-term success
Communicate effectively with your supervisor using the DNA of Engagement model
Understand what’s within your control – and how to handle uncertainty when it isn’t
Develop your personal support network and prepare for what comes after the DPhil
