OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Woodland management in Britain and Germany in early modern times.
Landscapes evolve in particular environments in response to the local social and environmental conditions. However elements may be copied from one country to another. ‘English landscape style’ can be found in Germany, just as British forestry adopted many German practices.
Professor Küster is one of Germany’s foremost ecological historians, author of, inter alia, Geschichte der Landschaft in Mitteleuropa (1995), Geschichte des Waldes (1998), Die Ostsee: Eine Natur- und Kulturgeschichte (2002), and Die Elbe: Landschaft und Geschichte (2007).
