OxTalks is Changing

On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).

There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Dougnut Economics for One-Planet Living

Our speaker this year is Kate Raworth who describes herself as a renegade economist who has developed the idea of Doughnut Economics. She is teaching at the Environmental Change Institute after a spell at Oxfam and is particularly focused on how economics can solve our environmental problems. Her latest book, Doughnut Economics, will be available on the night and you can read more about her on her website at www.kateraworth.com. We expect this will be a lively presentation with lots of time for questions. Please do join us.
