In a polarised world, with disinformation and misinformation proliferating, narratives have real-world consequences for how policy is designed, capital is allocated, and investment and development decisions are made. Whose voices are heard? How are their narratives constructed? by whom? For what purpose?
Gina Din, Arunma Oteh and Sabrina Maonde will explore the role of strategic storytelling as a catalyst for change in Africa at the Afox Insaka on 27th January 2023 at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford or online. The Insaka will start at 5:30 PM (UK time).
At this Insaka, Gina Din will launch her book ‘Daughter of Africa.’ Gina Din, an award-winning Kenyan corporate communications pioneer, argues in her book that African women’s voices and lived experiences must be at the heart of policy processes, development programming, investment strategy, and community-building.
A drinks reception will follow.
