OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Hilda Sabato is Head researcher at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET-Argentina) and retired History professor at the University of Buenos Aires. She has been a fellow at the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford, the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, the Davis Center for Historical Studies at Princeton University, and the Lateinamerika-Institut at the Freie Universität Berlin. Her books include, among others, The Many and the Few. Political Participation in Republican Buenos Aires (Stanford, 2001), Historia de la Argentina, 1852-1890 (2012), Buenos Aires en armas. La revolución de 1880 (2008), Pueblo y política en la formación de la república (2005) and as editor Ciudadanía política y formación de las naciones.
