OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
OCPSG is pleased to announce another speaker event ‘AI for Humanity’ featuring Arjun Joshi (Co-Founder & CEO) and Dr Mirco Giannini (Co-Founder & COO) from MayaCode. MayaCode is an AI-powered multilingual-agentic system designed to register, profile, and connect refugees with public services and employment opportunities. Built at the intersection of governance, linguistics, and ethical tech, this project explores how language models and agentic AI can support inclusive integration, especially for displaced populations across Europe and the Global South. Join us for this exciting opportunity to explore how AI can help address the integration issues of refugees.
This in-person event takes place in the Lecture Hall at the Manor Road Building on Monday, 26 May, at 16:00.
