Inaugural lecture of the Chichele Professor of Medieval History - Thinking with Things: Reframing Relics in the Early Middle Ages
This lecture assesses the material culture of Christianity in Europe c. 600 to c.1200 by investigating the contents of selected relic collections in France and Switzerland, and demonstrates the continuing relevance of Medieval History in the present day.

The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception in the Rooms 14 and 15, Examination Schools
