Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Ivan Jaksić is Director of the Stanford University Program in Chile, and the author or editor of several books on Andrés Bello, as well as the intellectual and political history of Latin America and the United States. His previous academic appointments include posts at the University of California, the University of Wisconsin, and Notre Dame. He is currently a member of the Chilean Academy of Language. A recipient of the Guggenheim fellowship, his most recent award is the Chilean National Prize in History (2020).
Macarena Ponce de León is currently the Director of the Museo Histórico Nacional in Santiago, Chile.
