On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Joakim Lundeberg, Ph.D., Professor in Molecular Biotechnology at KTh Royal Institute of Technology and appointed Distinguished Professor by the Swedish Research Council, was a co-founder of Science for Life Laboratory Sweden in 2010, a national and multi-university effort in large-scale life sciences providing access to infrastructures such as genomics, and proteomics, imaging, metabolomics, and drug development. From 2013 to 2021, Dr Lundeberg was the Director of the National Genomics Infrastructure, a national platform, at SciLifeLab, one of Europe’s central sequencing and genomics hubs.
Dr Lundeberg has, during the most recent years, focused on spatial transcriptomics, which enables a detailed description of gene expression patterns in tissue sections. The methodology is now available worldwide through 10x Genomics Inc. The technology was also featured in Nature Methods as the Method of the Year 2020 as one of the Top 10 Innovations 2021 by the journal The Scientist. The journal Nature also highlighted it as one of the Seven Technologies to Watch in 2022. The current research focuses on expanding the spatial modalities for simultaneous spatial analysis of DNA, proteins, and metabolites, including new computational frameworks with applications in human cell atlas, neurology, and cancer.
