OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Aspects of identity — from gender, to race, to class background, to national origin, — impact the way that women experience challenges. It follows that empowering women requires different kinds of work and different kinds of change.
We speak to three successful entrepreneurs, Christelle Kwizera, Alison Price and Leah Lizarondo, who have not only founded entrepreneurial businesses in male-dominated fields but are also using their work to tackle climate change and sustainability issues. We ask them how they navigated their way through challenges to come out on top.
Co-hosting the event with Dr. Bridget Kustin is Amanda Ellis, co-chair of the WE Empower United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Challenge. Christelle, Alison and Leah have been recognised for their achievements by WE Empower who run a global business competition to honour, support and celebrate women entrepreneurs who are advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and inspiring communities to create the world we want by 2030.
