Andrea Wulf talks about her recent book The Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt's New World

Andrea Wulf was trained as a design historian at the Royal College of Art in London and is a full-time writer. She is the author of four books and have written for the Guardian, Sunday Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and LA Times. She was the 2013 Eccles British Library Writer in Residence. Her book The Invention of Nature was published in 2015.

Yadvinder Malhi is Professor of Ecosystem Science at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford, and Jackson Senior Research Fellow at Oriel College, Oxford. He is the Director of the Oxford Centre
for Tropical Forests, a network of university departments, NGOs and local businesses that seeks to address the major issues facing the future of tropical forests in the 21st century. He has worked in the forests of Amazonia and the Andes for over 20 years, inspired by the pioneering work of von Humboldt.
