Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
This seminar will take the form of a DPhil roundtable, conducted by Sarah Rosenberg-Jansen. Sandwiches will be provided.
About the speaker
Sarah Rosenberg-Jansen has over 10 years’ experience as an energy professional, focusing on: renewable energy technologies, energy access, development and humanitarian policy, economic development and markets – including climate change, disaster risk response, resilience, preparedness, and social protection for marginalised communities.
Sarah has lived and worked in Kenya and India, and undertaken mini-grid and solar energy assessments in Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Jordan. Sarah has worked for the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Grantham Institute for climate Change at Imperial College London. Working broadly across the climate and energy sectors she has also held previous positions with the Climate Policy Initiative based at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and the Electricity Policy Research Group at the University of Cambridge.
Sarah is undertaking her DPhil on renewable energy for refugees and humanitarian energy policy.
