OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

We’re excited to be hosting Jonathan Whiteley on Establishing a Security Consultancy in Adversity. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 29th in the Old Library at All Souls College at 8:30pm. As always, there will be a drinks reception prior to the event, starting at 8pm.
Jonathan Whiteley is a retired British Army Lieutenant-Colonel who had a distinguished 23-year career running security, intelligence and counterintelligence operations, in such operational theatres as Northen Ireland, Iraq, the Balkans, and Cyprus. He was seconded at various times to all three UK national intelligence agencies and was mentioned in Despatches in 1993 for work in Northern Ireland.
After hanging up his uniform in 2006, Jonathan ran a successful project for the University of Oxford before going on to found and develop Horus Security Consultancy, based here in Oxford, as well as forming Horus entities in Singapore, Austin Tx supporting a Global network of consultants and researchers. Today, as CEO, he continues to provide a secure environment for organizations and their employees wherever they work around the world.
