OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Resilient Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future

Making the right decisions about infrastructure is crucial for sustainable development. Infrastructure is essential to meet human
needs for energy, water, mobility and digital connectivity. Yet the wrong infrastructure can have devastating environmental impacts and exacerbate harmful carbon emissions.
The Executive Directors of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will explain how the UN is working to promote and enable sustainable infrastructure. They will address the crucial questions of how infrastructure can be provided that will achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and how the resilience of infrastructure systems can be enhanced in the face of an uncertain future.
