Climate change, business transformation and risk management
Climate change, business transformation and risk management

This event is hosted by Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in collaboration with the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) – two founding members of Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BSCL). It will explore why companies should integrate sustainability into their strategy and examine best case practices from DSM, Nestle and Maersk. It will also address some of the open questions facing leaders such as how to avoid social costs while still meeting decarbonization commitments and how to work with governments, regulators and NGOs to achieve climate goals.

The session is part of a series of webinars on business and climate change organized by eight leading European business schools in the run-up to COP26 in Glasgow, UK (31 October – 12 November 2021). The business schools have committed to work together to raise awareness of the issues, challenges and actions needed to help current and future business leaders to tackle climate change.

With Knut Haanaes, Professor of Strategy and Lundin Chair Professor of Sustainability, IMD, Natalia Olynec, Head of Sustainability, IMD, Julia Binder, Professor of Sustainable Innovation, IMD and Anette Mikes, Associate Professor of Accounting, Saïd Business School.

Moderator: Peter Tufano, Peter Moores Professor of Finance and former Dean of Saïd Business School.
