The New Politics of Authoritarianism
The study of authoritarianism has moved to centre stage in political science in recent years – an academic focus that parallels impressions of democratic backsliding around the world. This conference will showcase cutting-edge research on authoritarianism, bringing together scholars based in the United States and Oxford with similar research interests. This event will also provide an opportunity for graduate students in Oxford to present their work to, and receive feedback from, leading scholars in the field, including Jennifer Gandhi (Emory) and Milan Svolik (Yale).
