Historic collections, new stories: curating museums and heritage sites
In a changing society, museums and heritage sites have a crucial role in helping us to understand our past, and contextualise our present. How can historic collections be made to speak to contemporary concerns, and serve the needs of a wide and diverse community? Drawing on their experiences as curators and researchers, Dr Amy Lim and Elisabeth Grass will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, and some of the different ways in which in museums and country houses are engaging with diverse audiences and telling new stories.
