Prof Yong is Clinical and Academic Lead for myeloma at UCHL and the North London Cancer Network

Prof Kwee Yong is Chief Investigator on national clinical trials in myeloma and has an interest in early phase studies employing new agents and treatment strategies. She runs an active laboratory and programme that has received funding from Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, the Kay Kendall Research Fund, The Wellcome Trust and Cancer Research UK. Prof Yong is a member of the executive committee of the UK Myeloma Forum (UKMF), the research and development and steering committees of the Myeloma UK clinical trials network and the myeloma section of the National Cancer Research Institute haematology clinical studies group. She is a clinical expert for The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) technology appraisals and is a regular speaker at national and international meetings. Prof Kwee Yong has contributed to writing the UK 2012 myeloma guidelines and has published more than 80 original papers.
